With the backrest raised and legs lowered, the cardiac chair position turns this fully electric hospital bed into a full seated position. This lowers the backrest and eases pressure on the thorax. The cardiac chair position provides a more upright posture commonly used in hospital care for patients who require elevated positioning. 

Having this position motorized and instantly available eliminates the manual work home caregivers used to do when they had to stack pillows or partially raise the backrest for patients with long-term heart or lung conditions. The handheld controller or nurse panel makes it easy to move into and out of the cardiac chair position. 

One-Pedal Central Locking System for Fast, Reliable Bed Security 

The stop pedals built into the central locking system let you lock or unlock all four wheels at once. Pressing the red lever locks all four wheels together, and pressing the green lever unlocks them simultaneously. This means you do not have to bend down and engage each caster separately, which is helpful in places where the bed is moved between jobs several times a shift or moved for clinical procedures.

When the casters are locked, the bed stays securely positioned during motorized adjustments. Bed stability is important during patient positioning and care procedures. The central locking system prevents such movement, regardless of the floor surface, and the foot-level pedal design makes the mechanism easy to reach without the helper having to bend over or change position while providing care.

0–75° Backrest and 0–45° Leg Adjustment with Trendelenburg Support

The leg rest can be set from 0° to 45° to elevate the lower limb and improve venous drainage. For clinical tilt positioning, both the Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg axes can be used. To set up the backrest and legrest together, all features work separately so that one axis does not affect the other.

Trendelenburg, with the feet above the head, may be used during selected medical procedures. Reverse Trendelenburg, which places the patient's head above their feet, reduces the risk of aspiration during feeding and improves breathing.
