Hi guys and gals, I’m a CSIA certified chimney sweep and technician. I ordered this lightweight, inexpensive sweep set for my free standing Jotul stove w/ a 6” round UL103HT SS liner. The durability of the set and the ease of use surprised me. I did tape the quick push button connections together with a small piece of duct tape so I would not lose them during operation. The rods held up well during higher drill speeds in both directions. The first section also did a remarkable job of removing ash and creosote from the first 90 degree elbow section coming off the back of the stove. I accessed everything from the bottom T section outside below the elbow. I would not recommend this sweep set for glazed creosote, which is usually seen in improper installations or use and I would probably refrain from using it in an open masonry fireplace. It’s probably not heavy duty enough or big enough to tackle most of those jobs. I also think this set would be perfect for most prefabricated UL127 fireplaces.

J'ai acheter ce kit pour ramonner moi même mon tubage rigide de 150 pour un poêle à bois je l'ai monter sur mon perforateur hilty avec un mandrin un aspirateur dans le tubage le conduit était plein de calcrete et de suit fraîchement coller 1mois et demi d'utilisation intensive je suis très satisfait de cette achat l'utilisation par le bas et très facile et sans danger comparer à monter sur le toit casser des tuiles ou tomber Il faut monter tout en haut et ensuite démarrer le ramonnage les Cannes sont très flexibles seul bémol les tiges sont un peu râpé après une seul utilisation mais le travail et tellement bien fait fait que ce sont qu'une formalité je préfère les jeter après 10 utilisation que de payer 70euros un ramonage pour un certificat après sont passage le tube et comme neuf je recommande fortement cette achat et pour les bricoleur en quête d'économie c'est un bonheur Les fils de nylon par contre eux sont extrêmement résistant sans aucune traces d'usure à voir dans un conduit à boisseau mais dans un tubage isole et non isolé un vraie bonheur

Just got it and sweeped my chimney. Everything went well and I recommend this product. My conduit does have a tight 90 deg. angle, so I used a piece of flexible plastic pipe attached to the stove pipe as a sleeve to protect the rods (see picture), it worked flawlessly. I saw in a review of a similar product that the rods can disconnect, and removing the tool from the chimney can be a mess, so to make sure, I added a cord. This requires to reverse the drill forward/backward often to prevent the cord from getting entangled, but I think the peace of mind is worth the extra trouble. I also made a little video inside hte chimney before / after and can confirm it removed nearly everything even with a square chimney conduit. This products pays for itself the first time you use it, it's much more convenient than having to get on the roof to do it so, even if it's a dirty job, it's well worth the trouble !

Ordered this a couple days ago and arrived quickly. Was going to buy this on amazon but I found this website and it was much cheaper! I watched some YouTube on how to use this and attempted it myself for the first time. It was really easy to use and can do the whole thing from inside my house. I attached to my hammer drill and it worked almost too well. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it! Thanks so much Vevor!

Lo pague por 46 (lo veo ahora por 51) lo que me parecio buen precio visto los comentarios, viene hasta con guantes y esponja, guia de usuario en ingles, me parece mejor (y bastante flexible porque tengo varios codos) que otros mas baratos que se enroscan pero estos no los probe sin embargo pero lei comentarios que se pueden desenroscar...en mi caso sin embargo a hacer el 2ndo pase en mi chimenea de 12m de longitud (usando el taladro para que gire todo el kit, moviendolo de arriba/abajo) se desconecto el ultimo tramo (el con el cepillo) cuando estaban todas las varillas montadas y adentro del tubo, asi que me toco empujarlo desde la chimenea con tubo de riego hasta una cierta distancia encima del casete pero tuve que ademas desmontar la chimenea para por fin poder quitar esta varilla, con todo el hollin por toda la casa (y eso que inicialmente habia tapado bastante bien la salida del casete pero luego se me fue de las manos y pase todo el fin de semana a limpiar la casa hasta volver a pintar paredes de manchas cuando las roze (porque intente atrapar la varilla desde el casete mismo), un desmadre), por lo tanto aconsejaria una vez conectadas las distintas varillas poner cinta americana cruzada de refuerzo (salvo quiza encima del sistema de cierre) para evitar la misma experiencia (esperando a que se pueda extraer la varilla aunque se desconecte del resto), por lo menos es lo que intentare el año proximo cuando tocara la proxima limpieza

These were actually better than I expected. I wouldn't however use power sweep kit for anything other than flue pipe as opposed to bare chimney or flue liner. Think those better done by hand with appropriate brush and possibly by a qualified sweep. But noo brainer for straight flue pipe and also did a friend's with 2 x 45 deg bends in and coped no probs. Decided to feed in by hand till saw orange filaments at cowl, just to get a feel for it, then did the sweepings on way down. Did several back and forth motions for each length of rod. Just remember to WD40 GT85 or some other thin dry lube on the metal fittings before and after to avoid soot sticking and corrosion. Had made a custom sweep sheet for my flue and had Henry attached to that so minimal muck. Look out for extra discount vouchers as well! Got this for 34.99 delivered. Who knows how long it will last !
