The motor is direct replacement for Century 1.5hp 56y frame used on Hayward pool pumps. Very easy bolt together project. A few reviewers complained about wiring connections but while rather tight it was easy enough by using spade connectors on my wiring. Some also complained the motor is noisy but I think those people are hearing more pump noise than motor noise. The sound from motor is normal electric motor hum, the bearing are relatively quiet. All said this motor is a good value

Works well. Actually like the design better than some of the oem manufacturers. It’s a slow start. Instead of hard on/off. Was only running in a Hayward pump for a couple mo the before winterizing bit so far running well.

The only time spend on it is its marketing picture, which says the shaft including threaded portion was 47mm that is NOT the case. After contacted the technical support got a technical drawing to verify that the shaft excluding threaded portion is 47mm. The I ordered the product, it arrived as promised. Installation with a instruction booklet is very smooth, and runs fine for over a month.

Motor came in quickly. Packaged very well. Perfect replacement motor for hayward super pump. Swapped motor and replaced all seals and back up and and running. Took a total of less than an hour. This may actually be the quietest motor we have had so far. I would highly recommend this motor. As for longevity, time will tell....

Great Price!! perfect fit and function. The motor is slightly louder than my original but very strong and smooth operation. Great buy and definitely will use the same brand again!!

My old motor when up 4x the amounti bought for 6 years ago. I got this motor for what the old one cost. Fit perfectly easy to connect. Runs nice amd pretty good as far as noise is concerned. Very pleased with the purchase. Vevor shipping was fast in fact showed up earlier then I expected. Thanks Vevor

The AO Smith/Century motor on my Hayward pool pump was nearing the end of its life due to worn bearings and was in such bad shape overall I couldn't repair it. After searching the web, I found this model at less than half the price of the OEM replacement, so I took a chance. Glad I did. Came extremely well packed, and looks very high quality, but the proof ins in the install. Replacement was quite easy (get a seal kit for your pump) and the pump fired up right away, running smooth and quiet. The only ding I would say is that you can't expect the standard amperage draw they list as 240V/6.8A. That may be with no load, but when running the pump I measured about 8.1A, close to the stated max load draw. Still a bit better than the OEM, so I'm happy so far.

Was skeptical, but read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Quieter than our old one that was only 5 years old. Great quality.
