This is a pretty decent vise for a light weight milling machine or drill press. if you have a medium to larger machine, the castings are a little thin for agressive cutting. As compared to my Kurt, there is maybe 60% as much metal in the vise, which does translate to less strength. If you are using a standard bridgeport style mill the will probably be a solid choice. if you have a 7hp+ cnc, you may be able to break the vise with a heavy cut or at minimum experience some flexing that may cause trouble. In terms of dimensions, my example was well made and accurate enough for most things. Machining to +/- .001" per 6 inches is doable. Held parts square to about half that tolerance, which is ok. As with all tooling, you will need to invest time setting it up to be accurate. Wish it were made a little thicker, but it is a lot of vise for the price.

The 5inch vice arrived promptly and surprisingly undamaged given it's weight. Unpacking it I noticed immediately that the finishing was not great but 20 minutes with files took off the sharp edges. Out of the box the jaws aligned well and the action was smooth bit I felt that there were some small modifications that would make it better. Firstly I didn't like how the lock collar just screwed onto the threads so I made a brass split collar to replace it. Also the bearing surface for the back of the lead screw had not been machined and caused a little binding. I used a dremel tool to flatten this and then added thrust bearings on both front and back surfaces to make it easier to use. Overall this product is, with a little TLC, value for money.

Very good price over quality. Arrived fast, well pakaging. It is heavy enough in order to give that stbility without vibration we are all looking for.

Works as intended. Vice is sturdy and is on my mill now for a few months haven't much to complain about.

For the price it's tough to go wrong with these. Was easy enough to measure and make some soft jaws.

Good value good quality. You need to adjust the Jaws to true parallel. Easy to do slacken Allen bolts and set to parallel with milling table

Good for the money. Finishing is mediocre but the action seems accurate and squareness is adequate for hobby machining use. Arrived without damage.

Comme toutes mes commandes passées auprès de ce site, celle ci a été livrée très rapidement. Je n'ai mis que 4 étoiles aux rubriques : Qualité et Facile à utiliser, car le repère angulaire et l'usinage correspondant sur l'étau n'étaient pas réalisés. Sinon l'étau semble de bonne qualité à éprouver dans le temps.
