Well, you get what you pay for. The finish is nowhere near how smooth and nice the pictures look. Not sure why they dont use standard pins. I have not installed yet as i may return it. Good luck putting loose sand in it as you will leave a trail where-ever you go. There is about an 1/8 gap at the bottom of the door panel so your sand will not stay in the box. Overall finish is marginal at best. Mine looks like the whole top rim was full of rust when they painted over it, so all bubbly under the paint. I expect it to start chipping and looking even worse in the first week of use. I would not recommend unless you dont care how it looks. Putting it on a new tractor seems it will devalue my tractor. I have purchased things from Vevor before that were good quality. This is just not even close.

Buyer beware top and bottom mounting tab holes are not in line causing box to hang at an angle center line of holes is off more than 1 1/2 inches. Receiver is welded to the bottom of the box and not reinforced, if you attempt to pull anything of any weight bottom of box bends from the stress. I attempted to work with Vevor's technical team several times to come to a solution and their response was that the box is to specification and is within intended design. They also eluded it was my tractor and I needed to make an adjustment on it, its a John Deere can't get any better than that. Basically the box is made of lightweight steel and poorly constructed would never hold 800 lbs. of anything.

Not happy that it dose not fit as described

Broke in 5 mints of using it... went to move my log splitter thats only 300 pounds. Start ripping the recver out. This thing is made outta paper

This isn't a Catagory 1 box, it's Catagory 0. It is not for for use, Vevor should be ashamed of themselves for selling this pile of junk! Didn't want to do a return when I asked for one. If you are looking for a ballast box go elsewhere, this is a waste of time and money!

tl;dr - Product not as described. Includes Cat 0 lift pins, not Cat 1. Geometry of 3-point connections is incompatible with Quick Hitch unless you have the means to permanently modify the parts. Top link pin not compatible with commonly available Cat 1-2 and Cat 2-3 bushings. I was excited to order this after what seemed like a fair number of positive reviews and some YouTube info. My goal was to fill this with scrap metal and concrete to have a more compact ballast box. I have a quick hitch with adjustable top hook. The box itself arrived safely and seemed reasonably sturdy. My satisfaction started to wane when I realized the lift arm pins included are category 0, not category 1 as advertised. Sure, there are bushings included, but Cat 0 pins are narrower and shorter than Cat 1 which makes installing QH bushings impossible without modification. After a bunch of back and forth with support, and promises to send adapters (with no indication that they understood what I was explaining), I took matters into my own hands. I split a piece of 3/4 tube stock, doubled it up, and welded that onto the pins. I then took that and fit it into the QH bushings and welded those together. Lift arm pins fixed. Next I got a set of Cat 2 and Cat 3 bushings for the top link only to find that they won’t go over the included top link pin. No problem - I have spares. With bushings installed, the hook on my QH does not properly fit the box. Either the lift pins don't sit in the hooks on the QH or the top link pin doesn't sit in the QH hook. To get all three to make contact with the QH, I had to remove all the top link bushings. My QH top link hook, even though it's adjustable, does not mate with this item the way other implements do. While I was able to make this work, it was a pain in the neck. If you have a quick hitch, DO NOT expect this to work without permanently modifying it. Also beware that the 3-point geometry is out of whack. If you’re using a standard top link and lift arms, you’ll be fine.

It has been over a month...still have not received this item.

Opened it up and looked great... then I started to unbox it and the paint literally fell off the top. Pins on bottom are very small and needed to be replaced as they do not fit a vevor quick hitch. Honestly one of the very few things I would never buy again from them. I would not recommend it.

I called vevor to verify this would fit a John Deere cat 1 hitch , and was told it would , and it's not even close. I would recommend something different.
