Great unit. Assembly was fairly simple. Good fit and quality of materials.

Assembly was challenging with only 1 person, especially the bin portion. However, it is extremely easy to use. I really like the crank for turning the compost. Best price to features and size that I could find. Durable and well constructed. Definitely would recommend!

this 53 gallon tumbling mulch bin is a pretty well made product, until you fill both side up halfway or more. at that point two factors come into play that are not so good. first off the unit “racks” to whichever side might be more full and tends to skip gears and at the weight that is now contained in the drum ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES THE SAFTEY CATCH ON THE HANDLE TO BE ENGAGED, if not you WILL BE INJURED should your hands slip off of the crank. let me tell you, the force when it slips is enough to cause great pain. i speak from experience. now, given those two caveats, which Vevor would be advised to add to to the manual, which by the way is Very Clear and well designed. i suspect that i will have this item for years to come, though i will need to find a way to prevent the racking due to weight+rotating the unit, but that might be as simple as adding an horizontal brace under the barrel or triangulating the legs in some way to stabilize the unit. I have about a half dozen Vevor products at the moment and of all of them this may be the least sturdy in its design. I would not recommend this for large scale or industrial use, if you have a lot of mulch to handle or if you are mobility restricted. the units takes up roughly a space of 4.5 feet wide, 4 feet high and about 3 feet deep. maybe a bit more each direction. i actually produce a good deal of mulch each season and knowing what i know now it might be wiser to get two slightly smaller units to work together. if you head my warning about weight and the locking mechanism i think you’ll probably find this to be a really good bang for the buck. if you don’t heed my warnings you will likely find this unit lacking. it’s not, but it does need its limitations stated clearly and since Vevor doesn’t do so on its product page, i feel it’s important those caveats be listed at least here in this review. I do recommend this and Vevor in general where tools and yard products are concerned, but i do so only if the above restrictions are recognized and observed.

I assembled two tumblers two weeks ago. It was fairly easy to do on your own. I can´t yet comment on the functioning after so short a time.

If you want a VEVOR product buy it from somewhere else! I have other products so I thought why not just order directly from them but this purchase was a TERRIBLE experience. It came with the wrong parts and they kept offering a pithy partial refund. It took 3 weeks of back and forth and disputing the charge to get a prepaid return label and a refund. All I wanted was a replacement or a refund per their policy. Seriously, save yourself the headache and do not buy from here.

It’s not bad but stuff does leak through where the panels bolt together, rubber strips at those joints would be helpful. I’m going to use some caulk on all the joints and see if that helps.

I added a five gallon bucket of dirt and about a gallon of vegetable peelings and went to turn the drum assist handle then the gear slipped out of place causing the drum to free role. All parts are tighten and assembly is complete. The composter can't handle the little bit of weight so I can only imagine what would transpire under a nearly full load. I feel like I've wasted my hard earned money and I'm not happy about it at all.
