I am quite surprised with this pump so far. It’s a lot more powerful than I was imagining, and compared to my previous HYVA pump, this is like a dream come true. Only issues I had was the SAE thread pattern; because I am in Ireland I had to re-tap the mounting screws. I use this on a 1959 Massey 35 X. PTO does not stick out very far and is not getting the recommended 3 inch purchase, but I still have enough to turn this baby. So be aware if you’re in Europe that the best thing to do is to get orb fittings, trade out the original mounting plugs for orb fittings SAE to BTE, your local farm shop should carry them. Due to the mounting screws being on one side, I had to fabricate a few plates and weld a bracket. It only grabs from one side, which is fine for now, but if I was going to redesign this pump, I would make it so that you could grab the pump on both sides. Not a complaint, just an observation. Make sure you have a fairly large reservoir tank to run this hydraulic pump because it moves a lot of oil quickly. Also, there is not a pressure release inside of the pump except for regular thrust plates, so you may have to adjust your pressure release settings in your valve control on the splitter itself because if you encounter a around with eccentric grain, it can put quite a load on the tractor and actually stall the tractor. For the exceptional price, I will give this pump 4.5 stars. Only 4.5 because for European customers it would be a lot easier to have the standard thread, but if you’re in the United States, no need to worry about it. Yes

hooked up pump to run a 3 point backhoe. has plenty of power and flow. perfect for an auxiliary hydraulic pump.

I deliberated on this for awhile and then read the manual, which lead me to believe that this was similar or the same as other mfrs for less than half the price. Shipping was quick and it was well packed. I would have preferred an 11.6gpm, but this gets the job done with aplomb running a log loader at idle. Fit and finish were excellent. Long term reliability is unknown, but I expect that for the casual use this will get, I should get years of service out of it. On my setup, I installed an intake filter as well as a return filter. I also bolted a PTO shaft extension to the unit so that I could utilize the locking mechanism. Pump runs upside down to allow clearance from the PTO shield.

After my old prince hydraulic pump broke, I found myself needing a replacement without breaking the bank. This pump checked all of the boxes. It fit perfectly, and came with new hose fittings. I didn’t even need to use them, since my olds ones threaded right in with ease. I don’t know if it is going to last 30 years like the last one, but only time will tell.

I needed to power a hydraulic implement that my tractor doesn't have enough flow for, so I bought this pump to run on the pto shaft. Mounting took a little backyard engineering, but was very simple. The pump itself works as it should, and if it proves durable over time, it is an amazing bargain!
