This Pole Tree Pruner is heads above ones found locally. My old pole saw was too short to be of use. With this pole saw, I can add sections to prune high in my trees, and clear broken branches easily. Smaller branches can be loped off with the pruner / shear, but for larger branches, the prune saw makes quick work sawing them off. It does get flexible with all sections together, but I use that to my advantage as I can get under the branch to start, then move back some and let the weight of the poles help me do the sawing. It doesn't take long to cut through a 5" diameter branch. The blades are all very sharp and work well. The hand grip on the hooked blades allows you to use them as a quick hand saw, once the branches are cut out of the tree. For max length, I put a few sections together, stand the pole up in the branches, then add more sections a few at a time until I'm at max height, and to bring it down, reverse the process. This sure beats trying to climb up into the trees to prune. Ant way cheaper than renting a lift. Really a great saw system. I also love that this all comes in a heavy canvas carry bag, that everything fits nicely in, including the extra blade. I really have no complaints about this saw system. If you need to get up into trees around 30 feet, this is the way to do it !

Speaking as a former professional Arborist I can say these are decent poles that I would happily use as part of my professional set up, they are more than good enough for my woods and orchards . If anything the kit comes with too many poles than are practical to use all at once, but good to know I have spares if I need them. The blades are good and the set comes with two which is great. Only downside is I expect parts aren't sold separately by Vevor,but like I said, at least the kit comes with spares. Would be great if it also came with a few more head attachment options like a hook and secateurs, then it really would be as good as a professional set.

I bought this from Vevor when it was on sale at a very good price and am completely satisfied with the purchase. Pros: - Exceptional reach, much better than my old Fiskars pole saw - Saw blade cuts well - the comments that it "cuts like butter" seem a bit of a reach but maybe it's because I'm cutting oak branches - Like the hooks on the ends of the saw blade to help keep the blade in place - The pruning attachment operates smoothly and can cut through reasonable size branches - Easy to assemble - to a point - see cons below - From the couple of times I've used it the quality appears to be very good - Stiffer than my other pole saw which makes cutting much easier - Lightweight - Comes with a carrying case and an extra saw blade as well as a protective cover for the blade Cons: - The more segments you add the more unwieldy and flexible the pole saw becomes. By the time I was trying it with the last 2 sections it was fairly unmanageable. I don't have much to cut at that height so not a big deal for me but if you are thinking you'll be able to cut stuff with the full 27' length you may be disappointed with how hard it is to control and how much effort it takes. - Delivery took longer than what was stated but I was in no hurry, so it didn't matter but something to keep in mind if the delivery date is critical for you All in all, this is a great tool, and I highly recommend it to anyone that needs to do occasional tree trimming.
