We use these in our pottery studio, Poindexter Paint and Pottery. The wheels are super quiet. They are easy to operate. The pan slips a little at the join area. I think it's a little bit big on one area where the pan should snap together.

I purchased this wheel after seeing a very comprehensive review on YouTube. It was provided with reviewer disclosures that he was sent the wheel by VEVOR to review. After watching him throw with it and identify some issues, he reported that VEVOR customer support got back to him right away with a fix. He also shared that he is a high school ceramics teacher and would recommend this very affordable wheel to students who want to purchase one. The purchase price is great, it came with free shipping, and the delivery was pretty quick.
While this is not the Nidec Shimpo whisper I use at the community studio, it works so well and is so quiet. And it has the added plus of not costing ten times as much.
The only thing I would recommend is that the wheel head should come with pre drilled holes for pins. I am able to attach my wooden bat using the chamois bat mate that came with it, but there are many times is like to use removable bats to allow pieces to dry a bit on their bats - and pins would make that so much quicker.

Great wheel for the price!
I have three minor gripes with this wheel.
1. The adjustable legs still don't extend far enough to be at a comfortable throwing height.
2 The splash pan rim is to tall by about an inch. It forces you to reach down to the wheel when throwing, rather than the relatively straight arm to wrist to hand that's possible on most high quality wheels.
3. The splash pan has a lot of play in it and will wiggle and jiggle around meaning it's no good to brace your arm against.
As I said, these are fairly minor complaints as all three are fairly easily compensated for. I used a few wooden blocks to place under the leggs to reach the correct height. I wedged a slice of cardboard under the back portion of the splash pan inorder to stop it from vibrating and shifting position. This also had the added benefit of slightly tilting the splash pan forward lowering the front edge by half an inch while raising up the back a little. So mostly problem solved.
As for what I love about it. I like the grooves on the wheel that immediately help me identify center. The pedal, although constructed of cheap looking plastic, is very responsive, and allows me to spin the wheel from a very low rate of speed up to a very rapid rpm.
The whole thing, with exception of the splash pan and pedal, feel very solid and well constructed.
For a newbie like me I can't be more excited to have a good functioning wheel at this price point!

I love this wheel! It’s a great little wheel for the price and works great. I wish the pedal was made better, but it’s very responsive and for the money, I can’t really complain. If you’re thinking of trying pottery, this is a great wheel to start with. I highly recommend it. I was able to drill my own holes for bat pins.

Great wheel - terrible splash pan
I've been using this wheel for a while now, and overall I think it's a great machine with one major flaw.
First, the wheel itself is excellent. It has noticeably better power and speed than the Shimpo VL Lite I use regularly at my community studio. It handles centering and larger amounts of clay with ease, runs smoothly, and generally feels like a more capable and robust wheel. From a performance standpoint, I'm very impressed.
My only ergonomic complaint is the height. The wheel could definitely benefit from being slightly taller, or at least having longer extension legs available. The current height isn't unbearable, but it does become uncomfortable during longer throwing sessions and feels a bit lower than ideal.
Unfortunately, the biggest issue—and the one that makes the wheel genuinely frustrating to use—is the splash pan design.
The splash pan is simply too small and sits too close to the wheel head for the size of the wheel. There's very little clearance between the wheel and the edge of the pan. If you drop a tool or need to reach into the pan while working, it's surprisingly difficult to even fit your hand between the wheel and the splash pan.
Even worse, the splash pan leaks badly. And I don't mean the occasional drip—the pan actively pours water out. I've made sure it's installed correctly, fitting snugly beneath the wheel with both halves properly locked together, but it still leaks extensively. The seams are poorly formed, misaligned, and don't seal properly. The result is water constantly escaping onto the floor, creating a mess and making cleanup far more difficult than it should be.
It's especially disappointing because the wheel itself is so good. The motor, speed control, and overall performance are excellent, but the poorly designed and poorly manufactured splash pan significantly detracts from the user experience.
Overall: The wheel earns high marks for performance and power, easily outperforming the Shimpo VL Lite I've used elsewhere. However, the low working height and especially the undersized, severely leaking splash pan keep it from being a truly outstanding product. If the splash pan design and quality control were improved, this would be an easy five-star wheel. As it stands, I'd still recommend it for the wheel itself, but be prepared for ongoing frustration with the splash pan.

Great value for money
I'm throwing and trimming around 2-3kg / 5-6 lbs on this wheel a few times a week without any issues. A few small improvements could be made - would be great if the legs had measurement marks to make leveling easier, and the foot pedal is very sensitive but I just put it on the table and operate by hand instead. Really nice machine for that price.

pottery wheel
Just started using the wheel. It appears to have great wheel speed, easy to use, does not bounce around. My only criticism would be the wheel pan is not as strong as more expensive wheels. Great wheel for hobby potters.

Good value for beginners. I threw 2 kg clay and it worked very well. The only issue I have is the removable black plastic bat in each use requires some alignment and banging into place on the metal plate of the wheel. The tools accompanying the wheel also work well.
