I purchased this fan for an attic much smaller than suited for the fan (900sqft) but it's ability to be turned down means it is perfect. This has fixed the issue of moisture and mould in my attic. I did have to seal off the ridge vent and upper vents but once that was done it dried out nicely, even in the recent cold moist weather on Vancouver Island in March 2026. I took it down to test if it may work on top of a shed in the back under trees in the shad. I was surprised that it started up again as soon as I walked outside, even while under the eve of the house out of direct sunlight. I am amazed that it will turn even with such minimal light. It operates at a much slower speed in this case, but if you account for that it is fabulous. I have ordered the less powerful one for my shed now and will never go back to trying to vent humidity from my attic with passive air movement again.

These are great quality, works excellent, love the remotes I bought 2 of them and they program to one another didn't know till I reed the manual, love them in my garage

Works well quiet running

This unit replaced an older similar version. I like the additional AC feature and remote. The brushless motor is a huge bonus for me as I could not find anyone to fix the motor brushes on my older unit.

Very easy to install and use. There are several Videos out there to watch. But the instructions are Very easy to ready and follow. I will be buying again for other side of house

Ordered this to install on my shed that’s been converted to a dog kennel, has a super powerful motor that helps maintain the buildings temperature. This model does not come with a remote or power cord even though it has the option to be ran on electric just an FYI. That’s my only gripe!

The 42 W solar attic fan is great. Our house is over 120 years old and it has 10 ft ceilings. When the temp is in the 90's we could feel the heat from the ceiling. We would run ceiling fans, and it did help some. Our electric attic fan had gone out and it never really seemed to make a big difference anyway. I decided to go solar to save a bit on the electric bill and so far, the fan has been working great. It was easy to install since it was going over an existing hole but some changes to the build would have made it easier. The flange on the bottom plate needs to be about an inch taller as well the bottom of the fan housing. It's hard to get a drill and bit between the fan and the roof when mounting. I knew right off that I would have that problem so I mounted the fan to the base before going up on the roof. I did take it back apart before mounting it. The self-tapping screws worked well. When it is super cloudy or dark the 110 kicks it and continues to remove the hot attic air. I would definitely purchase again.
