I bought this to find a break in my Landroid mowers boarder wire. It works well. I would like it better if it had a built-in speaker rather than a plug-in one. Would still buy again

Used the cable finder a few times and has worked great. Great price and solid construction. Not something I will use regularly but nice to know I have it and it works.

We have a very large underground fence for our dogs. It’s several acres. Recently the power company had some big vehicles out here replacing telephone poles and the fence developed a break. We are out of contract so was going the be a couple hundred bucks just to get someone out here. Enter the Vevor Underground Cable Locator! For less than $30 shipped it arrived WITH BATTERIES. Read the manual and then went to the garage to hook it up. I used the ground pole of the outlet as the ground and attached the signal unit to one of the wire as the. I went outside and using the sensor like a pendulum swung it side to side over the underground fence wire. When the sensor is directly over the wire itheres a little pause (a node) so you can tell EXACTLY where the wire is under it. We followed it about 80 feet when the signal fell off. I tried it in a 360 from the last loud signal but there was no more “node”. So I dug to the side of the wire at the last good signal and right there was the break in both wires!!!! Total time was maybe 15min beginning to end. I used solder seal connectors with an additional piece of 12g stripped copper wire in the center since the tips of the break didn’t quite touch. Fence is back to 100% again. Vevor saved me hundreds of dollars today. I’ll make a video on how we used the unit since it wasn’t quite how I saw it used elsewhere. Cheers!

First time ever using one. Real simple to use from the directions. I was trying to figure out where the wire went to the house so I can figure out if it was disconnected notice that the signal would drop off and be silent after about 12 ft thinking that it wasn't working I was wrong put a shovel in the ground and found a broken wire exactly where it stopped making tone. Tried it out with another wire running across the property and was able to pick it up from Easley 500 ft with good sound.

I had locates that were expired (from last year) so I had a really good idea where to look, but while I was waiting for the locate crew to return, I decided to give this unit a try for my main gas line, as well as a few other buried gas pipes and electrical wires in my yard. Once you get the hang of this unit, it's extremely accurate, and provides a great help. I was able to get within a cm of the marks the locate guy left when he returned. My gas line is more than 3' deep in hard clay with rocks, but this unit was still able to trace it laterally. Unfortunately depth is a guess. I was also able to trace out wires quite easily, which were at about an 18" depth.

Worked exceptionally well, found the break in the circuit very fast and efficiently. Device is well built with no issues found.
