This cleaner has been an absolute GAME CHANGER for my records. Since purchasing the Vevor 6L last year I have cleaned my entire collection of over 1200 records with excellent results. To be sure it does NOT repair existing physical damage to the vinyl, but it does remove just about any crud stuck on and in the grooves of your records. I agree that the motor spins entirely too fast to be effective, so I added a rheostat speed controller (similar to an electric train set) to slow the rotation down. This works well and enables me to actually watch the record surface as the bubbles from cavitation work to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants on my records. I clean 3 records at a time using just distilled water at 30 degrees for 7 minutes. If a record is particularly dirty I manually preclean each side using lint-free makeup removal pads and a 4:1 distilled water & isopropyl alcohol solution. This helps to loosen and remove surface dirt, but the vinyl may still have some discoloration left behind that no amount of cleaning is going to remove. After the Vevor is done, I wipe down each record with a clean microfiber cloth and stand them up in a vertical rack for drying. At this point the vinyl is as shiny and new as when first pressed. Once dry I mark each record inner sleeve with a “U” to indicate that the record has been ultrasonically cleaned and it goes back into my collection. After cleaning 15 records (5 cycles of 3 each) I run a cheap fish aquarium filter in the tank to remove any floating debris in the water. The water will discolor a bit, but is free of floating debris and ready for another round of cleaning. One hour later the records are dry and the water is cleaner and ready for more. I can do this a couple times before needing to change the water. I clean every record I get before I play it, including new records. It’s a bit time consuming, but extremely worth it if you value your records and want to hear them play as flawlessly as possible. Good stuff.

Compared to other dedicated vinyl record cleaners the price is great. You also have the option to use this ultrasonic cleaner for other items. Delivery was fast and the device is simple to set up and use.

I love this thing. It works great all those old records just came right back to life. I would highly recommend anyone buy this unit because of the price the capacity and just the overall value. The package came on time in great shape. Thanks guys!

The bar that holds up and drops the albums into the solution is held up by a small screw. The screw sometimes slips and makes you scramble to catch everything before to slams down. The process is cumbersome. I use a small block of wood to hold the mechanism up instead of messing with the screw. Other than that the process works great!

I went in skeptical but it works well on the used records I buy from thrift stores.. Definitely lowers the floor on surface noise on the old records. I need to do some tweaks to the set-up but much better than the spin-clean I have been using for years. The instructions suck but lots of good online resources.
