using the product testing in all modes (specified in the manual) it did not detect anything besides the NCV. in one wire mode in max sensitivity it did detect wire over dry wall. in all the other modes, it detected the transmitter wen it was almost touching it, sometimes does not detect the end of the probe attached to the transmitter. it is too expensive to use an NCV detector, nice package that does not do much. for the 2 wire connection, there are products by Milwaukee, Kline tools that cost less and detect the breaker. also there is toner for low voltage (transmitter and receiver) that do more than this product. NOT RECOMMENDED

Fonctionne bien pour les fils en surface. Les miens sont a 4 cm de profondeur (robot tondeuse) et ils ne sont pas détectes en mode analogique et en mode digital ca bip tout le temps. Pas utilisable pour ce que je veux faire.

This is the only vevor product that I have not been happy with and I have ordered a ton of stuff. I'm thinking it is probably too sensitive for shallow locating even when sensitivity is dialed down. Following the directions exactly, I attempted to locate a buried water tubing with tracer wire attached. It told me that the shallow tubing was somewhere within a 5' area but ended up being just outside the edge of that range and the water was then hit. The wand would only get proportionally louder as sensitivity is increased even 20 feet from the unit or wire being traced.

Tried it out, did not seem to have any range. Fonctionne lorsque le fil est en surface ( pour tester ) Permet seulement de vérifier la continuité des boucles J’ai acheté le modèle EM 2425

The detector gives a lot of false positives and was not useful. I gave it away. I would not buy this product again.

I didn’t expect much and this thing is worse than that.

The powerline to my pool house was severed and I needed to find it underground to replace / repair. Reading about the features of this product I believed it would locate the underground line to prevent me from digging up my entire back yard. After hooking it up as instructed to the other end of the power line and ground, It was difficult to get a "signal" in the same location as I swept the wand over the ground. It would indicate a 5' - 6' area. I would try to dial it in to more precise , but usually end up digging in the middle. Randomly, I believe, I found irrigation lines, drainage line, sewer lines...everything except a power line.

The product is a piece of junk. It does not work. Do not buy this product!!!!
