Bought to distill alcohol. It has limitations which can easily be overcome. The competitions alcohol air still is 330 watts while this one is 750 watts. While 750 W is fine for distillation of water it is too high to distill decent alcohol. What to know.. I bought the one with the black temperature display. It turns off at the preset temperature but drives the heat at full bore 750 watts. This results in cycling on/off & surging output. The fix is to plug the fan directly into the wall & use a SCR analog power controller tied to a digital watt meter display. Those will set you back about $30 + cost of a plastic box, outlet & power cable. You will thank me... since you can set it to 105F & control the heat easily at 250 watts or lower where it will not cycle & will produce superior alcohol.

I had to replace my previous distiller after 15 years of use and bought this one. I like the colour. It makes a nice amount of water (1000 ml more) and it is nice to set the length of time that I want it to run. It is a bit more work to refill than my last one, because you have to unplug the top and bottom to clean and fill it, but it's still do-able. So far it runs quiet, but we will see in time if that stays the same.

Das Gerät tut was es soll. Die Bedienung ist denkbar einfach. Was ich verbessern würde: Beim abnehmen des Oberteils muss etwas Kraft aufgewendet werden und es wäre gut, wenn man dafür nicht das komplette Gerät "umarmen" muss, sondern einen Wiederstand z.B. in Form eines erhöhten Ringes um das Gerät hätte. Die Stahlringe an der Kanne sind viel zu locker. Wenn das so sein soll, bitte ich darum, die Befestigung deutlich zu optimieren. Ich habe Silikonpuffer zweckentfremdet und zwischen Ring und Kanne geklebt. So wackelt nichts mehr.

Utilise pour mon humidificateur. Fonctionne tres bien mais a cesser apres avoir distiller environ 2400 litres.

I have several things that I regularly need distilled water for at my home. I was getting tired of lugging the gallon jugs 4-6 at a time and often the store was out. The prices have gone up a lot, and even though averages $1.50 it adds up! Especially in winter when filling humidifiers. I knew it would take a little while for this to pay for itself, but with my calculations it's already 25% of the way there in only 2 months! And that was buying a 3 year warranty lol! The machine is very easy to use. I wish the stainless steel part came out for easier cleaning and so I can leave the unit in my basement where I run it (because it adds a lot of heat to the house) I fill it to the highest fill line and set it to run for 3hrs and 50 minutes. It's the perfect time that leaves 1/2" or so at the bottom and doesn't run dry. I LOVE the timer feature! The one bad thing, and it's pretty bad, is the glass jug. The handle just slides all over the place and I have spilled and felt like I was going to drop it. Makes it a real challenge to pour into another vessel. For everything else to be so good and that part to be so bad is a real shame. I will probably look for a replacement. Vevor REALLY needs to fix that. And if they do fix it they need to offer a free replacement to customers who have this one that sadly is garbage. I do like the silicone "coaster" it has on the bottom. The machine came with some trivet that has no mention of what it is in the box. The extra filters are a nice touch!

I bought a distiller few months before and I thought I had bought the same but this one takes 40 more minutes to distill the same amount of water so I was a bit disappointed. Other than that it works well.

LASTED TWO YEARS, SWITCH NOT GOOD, WILL NOT TURN ON, TOP SEAL WOULD NOT SEALPROPERLY- LOST EVAORATION , FILLED JUG ABOUT HALF FULL.

Distiller works great. Died after 2 years.

The new model works fine, but it’s less convenient than the old one: Water container: The handle is not secured with screws like the old model, so it feels loose and less sturdy when pouring hot water. Timer setting: It doesn’t remember the last setting. You have to adjust the time every use if you want to distill a full load. The old model was simpler—just on/off, no extra steps. Overall, still good at distilling water, but the old model wins for simplicity and sturdiness.

The "actuall temp" readout is not the temp of the fluid in the reservoir and therefore is misleading. If your intention is to distill anything but water, it will take some fanagling.
