The distilling machine is cheap and simple, but mine had defects. The biggest defect was that the silicone seal that seals the upper/lower assembly was leaking, even after trying to adjust it many times. This is made worse by the fact that you cannot order spare/repair parts. I can still seal it by manually using silicone tape (the flexible one without glue that sticks to itself, for repairing pipes), every time I use it. Besides this, the inlet nozzle where the steam enters the condenser pipe was leaking as well. I was able to repair this, by taking the top assembly apart, and reinserting it into the silicone washer, using some silicone spray and silicone tape again. Furthermore, the steam baffle came loose when I tried to adjust it, as it was a bit deformed. This I could not repair, because the bolt was spot-welded to the inside of the tank. The machine still works without this, but again not optimally. So, the machine is cheap and simple. But in my case, I had to repair stuff before it even worked properly. I hope this is a one-off production defect. But the fact that 3 different parts were not working properly gives me the feeling this is a QA issue. But I can of course only talk about the one I bought, so take it with a grain of salt. If the machine was working properly from the get-go, this would have been a 5-star review, as the distilling machine is very good value-for-money. But unfortunately that was not the case. Still, after a few repairs, I am able to use it, so therefore I can still give it a (neutral) 3 stars

The instructions are very vague which leaves a lot to a hit and miss process. More specific instructions are required to run efficiently

Works well. Quiet operation and delivers 4L of pure drinking water each day. Overall, delivers what was digned for. I would have given it a stronger high score but a number of CONS: 1. Water Collector jug is plastic. Not a good hygienic option like glass or aluminium even if the plastic may be rated BPA free; 2. Poor ergonomic design in major parts such as, dust protector has no instruction how to use and not intuitive, and hits the nozzle when operating. Switches are place in hard to reach locations. The reset button should be pressed to start distillation but distillation happens anyway despite pressing the reset. 3. Operating Manual is difficult to follow. Written by engineers for engineers. Written in paragraph form; better in billets and step by step process; figures have no pabels hence hard to follow. Some instructions are absent—like where to place carbon filter 4. Upper motor cover is hard to remove for replenishing or cleaning. 5. Consumption is a bot hgher than the company-stated 750kw power. PROS: 1. Good and secure packaging; 2. Reasonable pricing 3. Quiet operation.

I purchased this for my sibling for his birthday. He had bought one from another company it started to leak. I told him Vevor is a good company and bought him a distiller from here and now an 8 months it started to leak. So I'm a little embarrassed. The one that I bought lasted longer but it was a different brand from before.

Only glass can give pure distilled water free from impurities. This water becomes a magnet for metals, toxins, etc.

The water distiller lasted hardly for 12 months, then started leaking water from the sealing of the metal tube. Cannot even fill 1/3 of the promoted capacity. Don't hold your breath, it won't last..

This product was so faulty. it leaked water all the time then after some time it started to smell like smoke and it looks like it burnt out. I have ordered a more costly one this time and keeping my fingers crossed that it work.
