We did a different set up. We took the hot water pipe from the hot water tank and put a set of by pass valves in. This way if the pump screw up it can be bypassed without doing major fixes later. It did take the time to get warm water upstairs down from 25 seconds to 5 seconds straight out of the box. I am still figuring out the settings to make some adjustments. I did increase the water flow rate on the pump so i havent lost any water pressure to my whole house even with the crazy looking bypass set up. Make sure you use good teflon tape, the tape that is provided is trash and caused leaks but i changed all the fittings to good tape then didnt have leaks. We have the return loop in our ensuite bathroom upstairs and havent had any issues with that. We also had 3/4 water lines so i had to do a pit of pipe and PEX management to get everything to fit into and screw onto each thing appropriately. My brother has this pump too and his has held up a year or more already so they seem to be worth the DIY project to get hot water throughout the house faster. My knocks are the instructions are kinda trash and there aren’t many good videos on the installation and set up for this water recirculator.

Pump itself seems good so far, had to buy a Kasa smart WiFi plug to program timers for it, because the one built in is some sort of ancient Mayan sundials written in an alien language. I assumed the 40C valve it came with would automatically shut the pump off mechanically somehow, again came with 0 instructions or diagrams, that almost blew the pump up, and burned me with steam trying to diagnose it. Had to tape the plastic housing for the original timer from making rattling sounds. had to watch dozens of videos and diagrams from other products online to figure out how to install it for whole home loop. BUT for the price and warranty coverage, worth it so far.

Item was packaged well and was shipped via FedEx. Upon examination, I noticed that nothing was included in the accessories that provided a means of connecting the pump to my water heater. Water heater has a 3/4"NPT male outlet nipple and the base of the pump is also a 3/4" male NPT. They did provide a means to downsize their inlet/outlet sizes to 1/2" NPT, which was no help in my situation. A trip to Menard's to purchase a 3/4" stainless steel union for connecting the pump to my water heater solved the dilemma. So, be aware if you are considering this pump. Verify your connection point size on your water heater and be prepared to purchase a union. Once connected and running, it seems to operate as expected. Under sink connections were without issues. Their instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired and can be confusing. Fortunately the overall install went well once I had the union and studied the settings on the pump, carefully comparing it with the manual. We shall see how well it holds up. I purchased the 3 year warranty for $9 just in case. Customer service is responsive. Pictures show connection point of pump . . connection point on water heater . . . and union I purchased to make the connection.

Runs well , you need a a much better instruction booklet with clearer photos and larger print . .. be great if WiFi included in USA import circulators . A YouTube video would be helpful!

Everything is perfect with this device however, in order to sweat it into a water system with three-quarter inch pipe, you need to buy extra adapters for the three-quarter G fittings on the volute discharge and inlet. Very inconvenient for users in USA. A three-quarter inch PT thread would’ve been more convenient and required less space to install.

Does the job- not quite the output of the $700 German pump it replaced but was an easy swap to get the system up and running at a tenth of the price.

Bought two of these to stop running water until it gets hot. I have not installed it yet but I tested them in air when they arrived and they run too quiet to hear. It'll take some time to set one up as it will be the return for the longest hot water line, back to the drain valve at the base of the hot water heater. 120 feet from "hot" out to "cool" return. Also plan on a programmable temperature controller to start pumping when the water is slightly warm and shut off the pump once the return temperature becomes hot...to save the pump from really hot water. That controller is about $20 on Aliexpress. Good luck with your project. Only 4 stars because I haven't installed and tested it yet.
