I bought this from (VEVOR ) four months ago, thinking it will be better than plastic but NO.... These gas cans RUST from inside out. No warranty . This can not be good for gasoline engines. Buy at your own Risk.

I was really excited to find these 5.3 gallon Jerry Cans for about half the price of what they were priced at locally. I ordered 4 total of these gas cans. They showed up damaged and I reached out to Vevor, who sent me two replacements. The replacements also showed up damaged. Some had their fronts smashed in, some had their bottoms smashed in, some had their top handles smashed in. Some had damaged spouts. Simply put, these are not packaged well enough to be shipped without sustaining damage. The next problem are the safety spouts. They are supposed to be a plunger assembly that springs back when the pressure is released on the spout's collar, therefore stopping the fuel flow. Of the 6 spouts, 4 of them don't spring back like they should, and the remainders still leak even after being sprung back. I spilled gas all over my generator, all over my driveway, and all over myself and am not amused. It looks like I'm in the market to buy replacement spouts elsewhere, and have put a simple one-piece cap on them to preserve my fuel for now. Vevor had exceptional customer service shipping the replacements out. When the replacements also showed up damaged I told them not to worry about it, but they offered and issued me a $20 coupon for a future order.. All done and told, I will have spent $80 to get two functioning gas cans, which is still cheaper than buying local (I think $59 was the cheapest I could find), but all this was simply well too much drama. After I sent photos to Vevor outlining the damage on two separate occasions, I started to receive emails from UPS, also demanding photos for a shipping claim. Life is too short for all of this. I've learned my lesson and you've been warned.

They seem to be able to do what they're designed for. However the longevity of the paint and at least one seam is a matter of doubt. One tank has the beginnings of fish eye in the paint, while the seam on the other tank look more melted than welded

Junk real bad knock off from real thing. Both top secure latches have come off and will not go back on. Buy the better more secure expensive units from a better company to be safe. Do not recommend.

The spout is just horrible. When the tank is full and your trying to fill a mower the fuel will spill. Hard to fill slowly. The spout gets pushed in and gas rushes out. The mower tank gets full so fast it overflows. Plus no side handle makes it even more difficult to pour and stop the flow. Then the valve creates a vacuum so when it "burps" gas will overflow even more. Added a side handle and replaced the spout just when pouring the gas.

Hard to prevent spillage even with the pressure tap engaged. The only handles are on the top of the can and this makes it hard to control gasoline flow. The flow button broke on the first use and the spring went missing because of its small size. I finally had to use a fuel transfer device in order to prevent spillage. The current spout is useless. If I were to build this product I would add a side handle and a smaller flow spout for enhanced control. Being a farmer I have equipment that has refueling points in tight spots, like tractors and mowers. I would imagine that other gasoline powered devices have the same problem with these cans.

It will hold fuel. Exterior coating is fine. That’s good but there’s flaws that pushed me back to reputable brands that are tried and true. The “safety” spout leaks like every other can. The handles have a gap in between the sheet metal that when under load will deform and pinch. I’ll still use them but with a funnel and gloves.

I was happy with the price on these 2 Jerry cans, but the short plastic spout, rather than the longer, metal gooseneck spout leaves a lot to be desired. Had the opportunity to help my daughter when she ran out of gas, but the spout is so short that the metal edge of the handle was right up against the car, scratching it. Did the same to my car when testing it out. A longer, metal gooseneck spout would have been a huge asset.

I recently bought 2 metal gas cans. I liked them so much that I bought 2 more. That first 2 came with a metal spout that worked fine The second pair had cheap plastic spouts that leaked no matter how many times I repositioned the spout. CHEAP just like the ones you buy at Walmart.

Disappointed. If you're expecting a Jerry can even close to Military quality, this is not it. Not really even worth the $25. Very thin metal, and cheap plastic spout. Put a gallon of so if gas in it, and the sides collapsed in. Filed for a refund or replacement, and have heard nothing. Just that it's "under review". Wish I had time to resize the pics.
