product worked fine installing 20 - 1/4 rivnuts. after installing three 10-24 rivnuts, the fourth install bent the 10-24 rivnut mandrel. I was 1/2 way through a project...now i'm stuck waiting for a remedy. I would not purchase the semi-auto retraction again. Seems easier to unscrew the mandrel by hand to reduce unnecessary torque on the obviously weak. maybe i got a bad egg? don't know. just want to finish my project that was entirely dependent upon rivnut installation. Uncertain how long it will take to get the replacement part.

As soon as I got this, I put it to use. The nut serts seem like good enough quality. The crimping tool works great until you try to get it to release. The auto release function is not great. You really have to jack with it to get it release. Problem also with this issue is that when it’s hung up, you can’t take the die out to manually unscrew it. The thing works, but you have to fart with it to go on to the next hole. Aggravation of something so simple as this just upsets you. Side note, I had worse problems with it not releasing with the lager nut serts. The harder you have to press it to compress the nut, the more I had to jack with it to get it to release. The smaller 1/4” serts weren’t as bad, but still aggravating.

It is not for a weak eighty year old man. I could not close the handles.

Of the 10 rivets I installed, the handle to release the tool from the rivet only worked twice, and that was only after pulling on it as hard as I could. The other times, I had to manually spin the tool to remove it. Luckily, I wasn't using it in a small space and had room to spin the whole tool. The piece of cast metal that holds the handles ended up breaking when installing the last rivnut. Currently trying to get my money back from Vevor.

Not as heavy duty as advertised. It's a hobbyist piece for lighter work. This is a better tool in the pic

This tool broke after using for 8 inserts. Have not been able to get ahold of anyone for a refund or replacement.

Je suis en plein chantier et pressée par le temps, je dois poser une centaine d’écrous à riveter. J'en suis à 8 écrous posés et le filetage M5 a lâché. Chantier totalement à l'arrêt et impossible de trouver la pièce détachée pour la remplacer au plus vite et espérer finir le chantier à temps.

Horrible quality, especially when retrieval mechanism breaks when your half way through a job. Very poor quality materials are used to construct this , extremely unhappy

Junk. The #10 mandrel broke the very first time I used it.

Well built tool but the mandrels seems to be not tempered properly. I ordered the rivnut tool for a small boat customization project. I broke the 1/4-20 mandrel after setting 5 rivnuts on the first use. Oops! I contacted Vevor about replacement parts and they sent me a new compete Rivnut tool kit. Well outstanding! I set about the last 18 or so 1/4-20 rivnuts making extra sure that everything lined up square as possible. That worked pretty darn good until the very last rivnut of the whole project. The location was in a bit of a awkward position and I could not completely square over the location, as soon as the rivnut started to seat, the 1/4-20 mandrel broke again. Once again I contacted Vevor and once again no parts. They offered me another complete tool set or a refund of $24.. I took the money mostly because I really don't need a 3rd set of rivnut tools with defective and non-placeable parts floating around. Really is too bad, their customer service is pretty good
