Works as intended. Only complaint Transmitter battery life is only good for one days work. Gotta keep a stash 9v batteries to keep it live.

Works good for tracing my old landscaping wire that was installed prior to moving in. The transmitter eats 9 volt batteries like they are nothing. within 2 days of about maybe 4 hours use total, the indicator started blinking. It still traces, but I'll probably go through a few batteries before this is all over. Other than that, just gotta get used to how the signals come and go as you get to junctions, or cuts in wire, etc. Kind of an artform so to speak. Once you get used to how the sounds change and sensitivity affects tracing, works pretty good. DOES NOT COME WITH A GROUND STAKE or something to use for an earth ground. I used an old metal camping stake.

One battery was dead, so still haven't used yet. Another trip to store first. Not a big deal. Maybe use Duracell.

In huis is de digitale functie niet te gebruiken, zelfs met aardingspunt buiten het huis: alles straalt. Digitale functie enkel voor de tuin . Analoog werkt wel binnen huis. Ik gebruik wel een aardingspunt buiten. Je kan de kabels volgen op 0,5m afstand, op laag zendvermogen en lage stand van de ontvanger. Maar als kabels dicht tegen elkaar liggen heb je overspraak. Dus bruikbaar, maar met beperkingen.

Followed instructions. I really wanted this item to work. In the digital mode, it triggered all over and could not get a consistent fix at all.

I could not get it to work. The sensitivity adjustment on the receiver appears to be defective as the signal strength LED bar remains constantly illuminated regardless of any other settings on the transmitter or receiver. Customer service did not respond to either of two trouble tickets entered from the website.

The thing does more beeping than actually finding something. My unit clearly had something wrong in trying to function, espeically in digital mode.

I bought this to trace an underground power line that was cut somewhere. The first one that I received worked for a while. Then it malfunctioned. Not in the sense of being dead, but it received signals when it was too far away when it shouldn't. Vevor offered me an exchange, and I took it. The second one worked somewhat better, and I was able to trace the wire. You get what you pay for, and the designers seem to have sacrificed some necessary features for cost. It seems more of a laziness in design since a lot of function can be placed on chips these days. So I am rating this just above junk.

First of all, it does work. In Analog and Digital. But it is way far from precise. Watch the YouTube videos and you'll see what I mean. The signal depth if 36" was fine to a certain point. But I would have been satisfied with a side-to-side (left to right) signal span of 12". But the side-to-side signal span would sound off at a 6 ft span. I'm passed my 30 day return date, so I guess I'll have to eat it. I recommend buying another brand.
