The detector gives a lot of false positives and was not useful. I gave it away. I would not buy this product again.

using the product testing in all modes (specified in the manual) it did not detect anything besides the NCV. in one wire mode in max sensitivity it did detect wire over dry wall. in all the other modes, it detected the transmitter wen it was almost touching it, sometimes does not detect the end of the probe attached to the transmitter. it is too expensive to use an NCV detector, nice package that does not do much. for the 2 wire connection, there are products by Milwaukee, Kline tools that cost less and detect the breaker. also there is toner for low voltage (transmitter and receiver) that do more than this product. NOT RECOMMENDED

I didn’t expect much and this thing is worse than that.

The powerline to my pool house was severed and I needed to find it underground to replace / repair. Reading about the features of this product I believed it would locate the underground line to prevent me from digging up my entire back yard. After hooking it up as instructed to the other end of the power line and ground, It was difficult to get a "signal" in the same location as I swept the wand over the ground. It would indicate a 5' - 6' area. I would try to dial it in to more precise , but usually end up digging in the middle. Randomly, I believe, I found irrigation lines, drainage line, sewer lines...everything except a power line.

The product is a piece of junk. It does not work. Do not buy this product!!!!

Never received. Purchased for customers path lights to find wires. Lost job because I was unable to complete the job.

The only feature I could get to work on this device was the continuity checker. The other two methods used in order to detect underground, wire or pipe or completely useless, and did not indicate anything, not even at the pipe where it comes out of the ground nor wires that came out of the ground. I followed the instructions and the videos this device does not trace wires or conduit underground.

Our contractor recommended that we purchase this product to find a wire in our backyard. He attempted to use it, said it does not work, and suggested we return it. We are attempting to do that, but finding the process unnecessarily difficult. It is packaged for return, but Vevor is requesting a video of it not working before they will allow us to return it. I cannot recommend this product or the customer service provided.

First off, I have +20yrs of extensive locating experience with Radiodetection PDL2, PDL4, RD 7000/8000, etc. I can say with confidence that the item I received will not locate anything in the digital mode. The test I performed was to lay a 50' wire on the ground and connect red wire to the wire and black wire to provided ground probe that was pushed into the ground. I also tried the same configuration with the far end of the conductor grounded (which is locating 101 which is not mentioned in the manual). In digital mode, there was no change in signal received in either configuration no matter how close or far the receiver was to the conductor or how low or high the transmitter or receiver were set. Analog mode worked as described by emitting signal when receiver was w/in a few inches of conductor, but I need to locate wire at the advertised range of 6.5'. This is useless for me. Interesting note: manual says digital is high frequency and analog is low frequency. I checked the frequencies with my Fluke meter and both were about the same at approx. 1150hz.
