Purchased this hoist and the corresponding support arm. Be aware that despite clearly showing how to do it and stating it can be used that way, mounting on the thicker (50mm) short arm can't be done out of the box. Neither the hoist or arm come from Vevor with the correct sized mounting bracket to attach the hoist. Vevor does not sell them nor provide them. Support told me to go to a hardware store. Who also sells hoist btw.

This winch will NOT lift more than 900 lb. I made an attempt to return it but was told that I should be using it in "dual-line mode". Dual-line mode did work, but, according to this ad and the product specs., single-line mode should be able to do 1,100 lb. negative.

I ordered this winch to use for a lift for the loft in my shop I installed it. I don’t intend to lift anything more than 1000 pounds max. I used a double pulley system which makes the winch as advertised rated for 2000 pounds I installed pulleys rated for 4000 pounds after operating the winch only six times I noticed one of the strands on the wire cable had become detached. I retracted it and removed that one strand began operating the winch again checking the pulleys and operation after two operations I noticed more strands coming undone. I stopped operation and remove the cable contacted VR for support was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. I did not accept this as meaningful support as I was in the middle of operations and needed the use of that winch and hoist. I’m very disappointed in this company‘s response. It cost me a lot of time and effort. I purchased a new wire cable from a local supplier and reinstalled it without the help or support from VV. There’s nothing in there Manuel that addresses this issue of note the manual that accompanied with it that had to be downloaded and printed is lacking a lot of information in my opinion. Attached is a photo of the cable. I will post this comment on my social networking sites to hopefully prevent other customers from dealing with this company’s lack of support.
